DAILY SCRIPTURE AND PRAYER MESSAGES
Several men of the group take responsibility for sharing an inspiring scripture and prayer each morning. We text these to the group to share and acknowledge God's supreme place in our life, and our support of our fellow sojourners. Let us know if you would like to join the sharing.
Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.
Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near, do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your request to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.
And in nothing be terrified by your adversaries: which is to them an evident token of perdition, but to you of your salvation, and that of God.
Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is... His good, pleasing and perfect will.
If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to al without finding fault, and it will be given unto you.
Out of the depths I have cried unto Thee, O Lord. Lord hear my voice: let thine ears be attentive to the voice of my supplications. If thou, Lord, shouldest mark iniquities, who shall stand. But there is forgiveness with Thee, that Thou mayest be feared. Wait for the Lord, my should doth wait, and in his word I do hope. My soul waiteth for the Lord more than they watch for the morning. I say more than they watch for the morning. Let Israel hope in the Lord: for with the Lord there is mercy, and with him plenteous redemption.
A cheerful heart is a good medicine, but a downcast spirit dries up the bones.
Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with the perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecto of faith.
There is surely a future hope for you and your hope will not be cut off.
Bless those who persecute you: Bless and do not curse them. Rejoice with those who rejoice, weep with those who weep. Live in harmony with one another; do not be haughty, but associate with the lowly; Do not claim to be wiser than you are. Do not repay evil for evil, but take thought for what is noble in the sight of all. If it is possible, so far was it depends on you, live peaceably with all. Beloved, never avenge yourselves, but leave too for the wrath of God: for it is written" Vengeance is mine, I will repay says the Lord"
As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another.
For just as the body without spirit is dead, so faith without works is also dead.
The Lord is righteous in all his ways and loving toward all he has made. The Lord is near to all who call on him, to all who call on him in truth. He fulfills the desires of those who fear him; he hears their cry and saves them.
Wherefore we receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved, let us have grace, whereby we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear.
Father, I know that I cannot obtain absolute perfection in my life. I appeal to You for Your mercy. I know. That Your forgiveness is without limit, providing I exercise that same forgiveness with others. I pray for the help of the Holy Spirit so I can forgive repeatedly without harboring resentment. Thank You for Your generous grace. I ask that Your mercy flow over me. I pray that You will favor my undertakings and wrap them in Your clemency so that even when I fail, I will be under Your protection. Amen
If you abide in me, and my words abide in you, ask for whatever you wish, and it will be done for you.
1 Corinthians 16:13-14
Be on your guard; Stand firm in the faith; be courageous; be strong ;. Do everything in love.
But I will sing Your strength, in th morning I will sing Your love; for your are my fortress, my refuge in times of trouble. You are my strength, I sing my praises to you, God, are my fortress, my God whom I can rely on.
Therefore I tell you, whatever you as for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.
So Christ was sacrificed one to take away the sins of many; and he will appear a second time, not to bear sin, but to bring salvation to those who are waiting for him.
Jesus went throughout Galilee, teaching in the synagogues, proclaiming the good news of the kingdom, and healing every disease and sickness among the people.
