DAILY SCRIPTURE AND PRAYER MESSAGES

Daily

Several men of the group take responsibility for sharing an inspiring scripture and prayer each morning.  We text these to the group to share and acknowledge God's supreme place in our life, and our support of our fellow sojourners.  Let us know if you would like to join the sharing.

Joshua 1:9

Have I not commanded you?  Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.

Philippians 4:4-7

Rejoice in the Lord always.  I will say it again: Rejoice!  Let your gentleness be evident to all.  The Lord is near, do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your request to God.  And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.

Philippians 1:28

And in nothing be terrified by your adversaries:  which is to them an evident token of perdition, but to you of your salvation, and that of God.

ROMANS 12:2

Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.  Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is... His good, pleasing and perfect will.

JAMES 1:5

PSALMS 130:4

Out of the depths I have cried unto Thee, O Lord.  Lord hear my voice: let thine ears be attentive to the voice of my supplications.  If thou, Lord, shouldest mark iniquities, who shall stand.  But there is forgiveness with Thee, that Thou mayest be feared.  Wait for the Lord, my should doth wait, and in his word I do hope.  My soul waiteth for the Lord more than they watch for the morning.  I say more than they watch for the morning.  Let Israel hope in the Lord: for with the Lord there is mercy, and with him plenteous redemption.

HEBREWS 12:1-2

Do not repay evil for evil, but take thought for what is noble in the sight of all.  If it is possible, so far was it depends on you, live peaceably with all.  Beloved, never avenge yourselves, but leave too for the wrath of God: for it is written" Vengeance is mine, I will repay says the Lord"

PROVERBS 27:17

Wherefore we receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved, let us have grace, whereby we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear.

Prayer

Father, I know that I cannot obtain absolute perfection in my life.  I appeal to You for Your mercy.  I know. That Your forgiveness is without limit, providing I exercise that same forgiveness with others.  I pray for the help of the Holy Spirit so I can forgive repeatedly without harboring resentment.  Thank You for Your generous grace.  I ask that Your mercy flow over me.  I pray that You will favor my undertakings and wrap them in Your clemency so that even when I fail, I will be under Your protection.   Amen
